512 MB RAM
60 GB HD
Laptop

I noticed that HJT is in a temp file. I saved it to my docs and put a short cut on the D/T. Why does it say that it is in a temp file? How do I fix it?

Why are you posting a HJT log? Are you having problems? I don't know enough about Vista to use HJT. Maybe budfred knows????

It looks like you figured out that you were running HJT from a zip file and extracted it... :)

As for the speed, my limited experience with Vista is that it is slow and that is likely to be even more true if the computer is not optimized for it... It is designed for people who just want to turn on the computer and use it without knowing anything about it, so it does a lot of stuff automatically.... If you check back in a few weeks, we may have a better idea of what can be safely disabled, but it is too new now...
