Slow Boot?

On my laptop which runs Win2000, bootup is very slow, there isnt any virus'. When you get in everything is fine, but the bootup is really slow, and its annoying. Any ideas?

Start by looking at what is loading at bootup.
Clean out the temp files ( free up disk space)

Look for anything that is running auto updates at bootup

How long does it take to load if you "Hibernate" and "Resume"; or if you start in "Safe Mode"?

Is it the Pentium II laptop you have in your sig? If so the "slow" startup might just be because the old hardware just isn't able to work any faster.
