I have e6600 sore 2 duo
bfg 680i mobo
xfx 8800 gts video card
2 x 75gb 10000 rpm raptors in raid 0
2gb 800mhz memory

Everything is working fine now except my Plextor 716 SA dvd burner
Any idea if i can get this working in this rig?
So far it is recognized by the Sata ports, but it wont work no matter what. The drive bay stays open at all times. It will close but only to reopen again in seconds?

If any one has any idea i would greatly appreciate it. Or i guess failing that even recomend another Sata burner that will work?

Thanks

Sounds faulty - perhaps you could confirm that by trying it in another PC?

If its under guarantee then consider a RMA.

rma = return merchandise authorization....from the place you got it from (assuming its new)

everything is setup on the DVD right? ...set to master/slave/cable select?

if it's faulty you get an rma to send it back to be replaced/repaired
