Aloha all. Well, I got another weird one. While trying to use a spreadsheet on my son’s computer, I was getting problems with an “Auto-Date” function. I finally decided to look at his calendar and found that the months were in another language. This machine has 4 profiles on it and the other three are all fine. I can not find anywhere to change the language on the calendar and everything else seems to written so that even I can understand it :p .
Does any of this ring any bells here?
I have run a full scan at “HouseCall” and with updated AVG. Nothing was reported that raised any flags.
I am posting a link to a screen shot as it appears to big to upload here.

Thanks for any help

If you go to Control Panel / Regional and Language Options / Regional Options for that user account, what is the language setting on? Just a wild guess for now. It could be that each user account gets to pick a different language setting.

Awsome HomeSA
That was the trick. Someone had set it to "Zulu-US". No one wants to admit to doing it but I don't know how else it could have happened.
Thanks a bunch ;)

You are welcome. I'm glad it worked.
Zulu?
US?
As in the absolute bottom item on the list with a US keyboard layout?

The plot thickens! In looking at my laptop, I do not have Zulu as a selectable option. I will look at the affected machine and our other machine later to see whats up.
Anyone else missing Zulu???? :D
Got it here...(that's how i knew it was last on the list)...
What brand laptop? Maybe they 'trimmed' the languages installed to 'save' space?
Very simple scenario on how it got changed...when the Regional/Language box is brought up, the Language choice is highlighted by default...a simple scroll down or hitting the <end> or <pg down> keys will move through the choices...hitting OK instead cancel will make the change permanent. So yes, it is possible to 'accidntally' change the setting...fairly easily.

heheheee, It is my old Compaq 1200. She has been modified so far from original, I doubt that is the case. It is closer to Franqenpaq then Compaq now
As for the change on my son's desktop, yea, I saw how easy it would be to accidentaly change. I showed him the dialog boxes involved and asked him if anything there looked familiar. I told him there was nothing for me to be mad or upset about if he did change it, I just wanted to know if he had so I could rule out virus/worm/etc...
He's stikin to his story, "OH NO, I NEVER SAW THAT BOX AND WOULD NOT HAVE TOUCHED IT IF I HAD!!!" Aren't they precious at 10? ;)
