Dusty?

Well I have an XFX geforce 6800xt 256mb card currently in my system and the stockfan that is located on it seems to acquire dust very fast
is this normal?
and also is it normal that the gpu is much hotter than the cpu as i am gettin around a 15-20 degree difference (celsius) cpu=around 20-25 gpu=40-45

Yeah... that's fairly normal. Give it a good cleaning now and then.

GPU's have a higher heat tolerance than CPU's. They tend to idle around 45C and can reach into the 70's under load. My 6800GS was just like that. And my new 7900GS idles around 47-48, but only gets into the mid to high 50's under load. Go figure... :)

And yeah my GPU fans get very dusty very quick. I think in my case it has a lot to do with the fact I have a side fan right over the video card.

Yeah, give her a cleaning. Don't break your GPU's fan like I did. :o :D
