I just want to buy MP3 files. I don't want to download your freakin' software or subscribe to your stoopid music player service. Is there a website somewhere that will simply sell me MP3 files?

walmart. I have bought a number of whole albums and a few single songs there
If it isn't Wally World then it probably isn't legal if it exists...thank you RIAA.

http://www.allofmp3.com/ just sells MP3's.
Some say it's illegal; the site insists it isn't, and it hasn't been closed down.

I downloded a lot from allofmp3 when I was in Iraq. Legal issues aside, they don't take Visa anymore. You can only buy stuff with Diner's club or some other weird card I've never heard of. I haven't been able to get money credit there which is the reason for this post. Thanks though everyone, I'll try walmart. (A link might have been nice;) )

The walmart site sucks. It took me forever to figure out where the page was and none of the songs I wanted were there. (Mostly classical.)
Any more sugggestions?

I made/make my payments by Cahoot Visa "Webcard" [a virtual Visa credit card generated anew for each transaction and works for only that single purchase].
Just went through the motions of making another payment and it is about to allow me to top up the account.

Yeah sure, I can get that far. But on the very next screen it says that credit card payments are not being accepted.

They make it so hard for people to buy legit music who do not want any instal any softwere (Itunes, Napsetr...) so it does not strike me that piracy is so alive and well.

Right you are Suchy. And the last time I bought a CD (Jack Johnson-Curious George soundtrack) it was $18.00.
I'm against piracy, but I'm also against gouging the customer. And by the way, when was the last time you installed a driver and just the driver, without all that unneccessary garbage along with it. Last time I installed an HP printer, the install.exe file was 64mb. That's madness.
