i was gaming and then suddenly my monitor just goes black, the PC is still running and i can hear the game sound in my headset. After about 10 sec the PC restarts there is no reaction from the monitor and during the boot i hear 2 fast beeps (i know there is a somewhat sysmtem in diffrent beeps so i was kinda hoping some1 could at least tell me what that was ;) ) anyways i turn my computer off and the video card is very hot i let it cool and pull out the monitor cable. i try to turn the monitor on but nothing happens, wich is really wierd, normally it turns on and i get "no signal" and it turns back off, but it's totally dead :( it's only a year old so i see no reason for it to die now :/

The "Beep Code" will depend on what BIOS and version of, you have. Can you give us that info?
HERE (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=bios+beep+codes&btnG=Google+Search) is a link to a google search for POST codes.
As for the monitor, how long after this event did you wait to try turning on the monitor? I have had monitors take 10 to 20 minutes to clear after an event. You should hear a quiet "click" indicating the reset has done it's job.
Can you plug this monitor into another comp to test? Can you try another vid card in this comp to test?

Let us know and Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif

Could you please post your complete system specs?
If the video card was overheating, it could have been fried... but it also could have been something else that went wrong.

i'm not too good on computers so unfortunately i don't have the BIOS info, and at the moment i'm not able to get it :P

I tried first instantly to turn the comp on a few times, i went away for like 1 hour before i tried again (after the video card had cooled down)

I tried to plug my monitor into my moms laptop and it works perfectly. I will borrow a video card tomorrow to see if that will do the trick :)
