I am wanting to upgrade my pc, which currently has no USB ports, nor ps2 ports. WIN 98 4.10.1998 AMD K6 2 3D processor, 64 mb memory. Looking to install USB port card on my own. Would like to know if there might be any common probs I might run into in doing so, or if there are any onine illustrated tutorials for this. Also would like to hear a few expert opinions on which port card to get, ie; best brands for small budget, is 2.0 worth the extra cost, how many ports should I get, & a reasonably cheap webcam that is also portable for stills. Any help & opinions will be appreciated.
Thanks!

You're talking about a pci card, right? Installing pci cards is usually as easy as plug-n-pray http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif. But you might want to check your mainboard docs first - there may be a pinout that you can plug a usb lead into. Even easier, because then you'd just enable it in the BIOS settings program. How many ports? Two is enough. Remember that you theoretically can have as many as 127 usb devices using the same resources all daisy chained and going into the same usb port on your computer. For example, there are usb keyboards that have a few extra usb ports on them to take advantage of this.

Looking at your specs, you might want to see if this (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q240075) applies to you.
