Hi guys.

I've had a couple of weeks in hospital - actually had massive heart attack and died. Come out of hospital and thought I'd get on with my computing as usual to keep me busy (and of course entaintertained)..... Oh heck - Everything went wrong. Forgotton everything I ever knew about PCs. Lost all my data and it's taken nearly 4 days just to swap my case & re-install.

Lost a lot of my software too, all my holiday photos, videos, music...

Anyway less of my bloody whinging - just one piece of advice as I no longer have any to offer any more - BACK IT UP !!!

Thats really serious!
I do agree with Top Chip though because i have a hdd, totally dead, and it has all my old files which can never be recovered, and i wish i would have backed them up...

Same Message here, BACK IT UP

I am so sorry to hear about the health. Heart attacks are no joke. I am glad you made it through it though. :)

And yes I agree, backup backup backup, and then backup some more. :p

Take good care of yourself.

Glad to hear you're okay :)

And yes... any data not backed up isn't important!
One of my favourite quotes: "Only wimps use tape backup: _real_ men just upload their important stuff on ftp, and let the rest of the world mirror it ;)" - Linus Torvalds

Take care

I do not know you, but I am glad you've made it back. Please take care of yourself and DO everything your doctors and nurses tell you :)
