I've been asked to price a system for a Church so they can run the 'Easy Worship (http://www.easyworship.com/faq.php)' software. It looks like they require two screens to be fed from the same PC. They have specified a 'Dual Output' video card.

Do I need to buy a dual head Video card or could I buy a motherboard which would accomodate two normal 256Mb cards (any type if interface)?

As a matter of interest, could you recommend a dual output card to buy in the UK?

Thanks

Alex

Dual output cards are easiest.

You can, however, use two video cards as long as they use the same driver.

As this moment, Dabs.com have a special on an XFX Geforce 7900gs graphics card for £87+ VAT. Very good card, dual head. Just bought one myself, and now running dual monitors on it.

You can buy a dual head or two video cards and they don't need the same driver. You can put as many video cards in your PC as you have slots. It would be cheaper to buy a dual head than a motherboard and two cards I would think.

"Dual-head" vid cards are cheap and plentiful. Having two outputs on the vid card became standard about 3 years ago. You can still find single-output vid cards on the super-cheap end of the spectrum, but generally dual-output vid cards are standard for all slots. PCI, AGP, PCIe - whatever you want.
