ok i have
bfg 680i mobo
2 x1 gb ocz ram
2x 74 gb raptors in raid 0,
Proview 22 inch lcd monitor
x fi fatality sound card
700 watt ocz sli power supply
tsunami case

Ok i put this together got most problems sorted out, orginally, cpu was running at 41 degrees, system at 38, and video card at 65( wich seems supper hot to me )
I added more cooling got cpu down to 32, system down to 30, and vid card down to 54(wich still seemed hot)
after a short time the vid card went back to 61. These temps are with only win xp running. and no over clocking.
i shut my pc down to go to work the other day everything was running fine. I came home booted it up and nothing? Pc turned on but no signal to monitor?
After so experimenting with other monitors and other cables i found it would not send signal digitally through dvi, but with adaptor i could get signal to monitor with avg but the colours are all heavy red tinted.
I am screwed with teh video card?
Is the temp of the video card the problem?
have other people had this problem?
Does it seem like a defective card or do they all run that hot.
I did also try underclocking the card to get temps down and that did not help either?

I am still waiting to hear back from xfxtech support
I am thinking of just buying another one till hopefully xfx repairs this one buy i am gun shy now given the price?

what do to ? any advice? can i cry on someone shoulder?lol

Sounds like the card was defective from the beginning.

XFX should take care of you. Make sure you register the card with XFX if you haven't already.

60C is too hot for idle. But I doubt that was the problem. GPU/VPU temps can go very high in comparison to CPU's without problem.
