Charles,
I noticed, based on info I found on your site (listed below), you should be due for your 3,000,000th Home Page Hit on, or about, Thursday 19th October 2000.

Sounds like a good reason to celebrate.
Sounds like a good time to reward your loyal readers.
Sounds like a good move to do a site give away to the one who manages to click on the PC Guide’s Home Page on the 3,000,000th.

I'm sure one of us could do with a new video card, or CPU, or ???

How about it? ;-)

“This (Home) page has been served 2,837,077 times.”
“The front page of the site now receives over 100,000 views per month.”

P.S. above all said very tongue in cheek. Congratulations on your 3,000,000th hit-whenever it arrives.

Cheers...Son of Zeus.

SOZ, I really apologize for not responding to this sooner. That's not normally how I handle posts to this forum especially.

That sounds about right. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I thought about doing something like this at 1 MM and 2 MM. I will definitely consider it, or doing something similar. I generally try to stay away from contests of that sort because what I can see happening is that a few bad apples will spoil it for everyone else: hitting the reload button over and over, for example. Also, I don't know how I could possibly have anyone prove they were "the one". That counter is not something I have access to, and anyone with 30 seconds in a paint program could make a screenshot say anything they want.
Perhaps I'll just run a random drawing, or a contest or something like that.

Much appreciated, and thanks for contributing to the success of the site with your participation!
