Floppy drive reads

While sitting at pc my floppy drive has started to just read and stop, 1 min lata read and stop it continues to do this. Any reasons out there, I have run anti virus and all spy ware and mal ware.

What version of Windows?

You probably have a document link that was to the floppy...so clearing the Recent Documents should stop it...
