Looking for taskbar network status/notifier

Hi, I've been looking around for something like this but no luck!

An icon in the system tray/taskbar that will inform me when a client on the local network is online. I don't need a network monitor that tells me stats, etc. - just this basic utility. Any idea?

Is this XP?

Open network places, open local networks, check the box for notify on the LAN network.

You don't mean "Show icon in notification area when connected" when you choose Properties of a connection, do ya? Cause that just shows up in my system tray that I myself am connected to the network, but not if the other client is.

If you want more than that you will need to get into some sort of network monitoring program...

I have found something, freeware too. The only limitation is it's limited to monitoring the status of just 1 network client per session - so if you want to monitor 2 clients, you have to open the program again (it can run multiple instances), and put in that IP too.
