Hi! i am planning to assemble my next pc and my choice is an athlon64 3200+(s939) which is cheaper or an ahtlon64 3200(sAM2). I just want to ask if the two sockets had the same performance if u benchmark them??Any advice?

If you have a choice between an old car and a new car which would you choose?

Socket AM2 is the new socket, has a wider upgrade path and in general, better support (as it is the current AMD socket) while 939 boards are winding up in the discontinued racks...

The AM2 boards have an edge (and growing) in performance, because they are getting the newer/better technology.
