cannot locate driver, ANYWHERE!

Okay, so I just installed a new hard drive. "DiamondMaxVL 40" by Maxtor. Yeah, old, I know. Anyways, I can't find the driver(s) for it anywhere. And I'm pretty sure I need them considering I know connected the drive correctly. I hooked it up as a slave drive and I know all the jumper settings and the way it's hooked up is correct. So, help...please?

If you cannot see the drive in windows explorer then it may require formatting.

Which version of windows are you using?

Apologies. It took a while for some reason, but Windows eventually recognized the drive. Sorry for wasting space.
