I have a daughter beginning cosmotology school in April and another the University of Texas (hopefully) in the fall. I have always been the one to maintain our computers, but with them away from home, well it won't be as easy.

I need recommendations on how I can connect to their PCs and control them remotely, so that when they have problems I can try to help. We all use Win XP.

Would you guys and gals suggest software for remotely controlling their PCs? I would prefer free software if there is any available, if not I will purchase. Or if there is significant advantages of purchased software over free software, I may purchase too.

In windows XP Home. Go to> Start > Help & Support then under "Online Technical Support" click on "Remote Assistance". Then click on "Tell me more about Remote Assistance" where you can learn more about that there.

This is assuming you all will have internet access.

There are other ways ,but at least this is FREE!
