i brought this PSU lately and has the output of +12V1 with 15A and +12V2 with 12A. my problem is which cable/socket is the +12V1 with 15A??how do i find out????

also will insufficient power from the PSU cause CPU fan to make humming noise

Do you have multimeter?? or you can borrow it from someone?? once you have get it, it is really easy for you to determine the output voltage. do your PSU come with any document, i think it will help you a lot...

Well not sure why that might be a problem but your label on the ps itself might help you. A multimeter will not help you figure out which is which as the voltage will be the same. The current would need an ammeter to measure that but that would be with a load attached.Again not sure as to what you really are trying to figure out. Humming noise? Is this supply running? working?
Is it from a vibration? Or are you saying by humming that its very loud and not working properly as in drawing to much current ?
