Just babbling my 2-cents... but the FAQ section needs to be updated/expanded or deleted. Charles, you might want to just direct people to the PC Guide section for FAQs and leave it at that.
On a personal note... I have worked on a few helpdesks and been a trainer for several years and really appreciate your section on Troubleshooting and Your Frame of Mind. I can't count how many times someone tried to make me personally responsible because their system wasn't working. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

The FAQ section was a great idea when I started the forums but I quickly realized that there was no way to keep it up without spending hours every week sorting through discussions.
It will probably be deleted when I shuffle the forums, but the search facility will still be present.

I thought the same thing. Would be great to have, but it takes quite a bit of time to search through every category and find the best ones to go there. My idea was to transfer topics involving common questions that didn't take ages to resolve and had clear cut solutions. Tried it for a couple of days and realized I was in for a long term research project...

In the revised format, I think "Search" should have a button as large as "New Topic", etc.

Speaking of links within this site: Didn't clicking on "The PC Guide" logo at the top of a forum page used to take us home (http://www.pcguide.com)? I liked it better that way.

Look at the top left of every page. It's there...or are you referring to a link to the front page of the PC Guide, rather than the forums? The one that's at top left now goes to the front page of the forums.

I simply open another window and use it for searching out references & info...

Kenja,
Clicking on the logo goes to the front page of the Forums, and always has to my knowledge.
Would it be better if it went to the front page of the site?
Note that the "The PC Guide" link at the bottom of every page goes to http://www.PCGuide.com

Thanks for refreshing my fuzzy memory http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif . I do think it would be less confusing to have a link that says "The PC Guide" and another that says "The PC Guide Forums Home".
