Microsoft, renown for its OS's, so it got me thinkin... They arent really that great. They spend a year making a revolutionary OS, then take that OS, and stretch it out for another decade with few upgrades and more money for the OS itself... Think About It:

Lets start out easy, for all those beginners out there try this first...

Making a Windows Vista out of your Windows XP
There are 2 ways to go about this:
1. Download the Vista theme for Windows XP, add to mix and serve warm

2. Spend 300$ on special mix, very peripheral, probably not compatible as oven requirements are extreme. But if it does add well, Mix until creamy, then bake for 4 hours on 500°

° Either Route you take seems to grant you the same results

This next one is a little more tricky, but isnt too bad...

Making an NT 4.0 out of your plain NT 3.51 cake

° Take plain 3.51 cake, add 100$

° Add Windows 95 GUI as included with this packet

° Bake at 300° for 30-60 minutes

° Serve COLD for best results.

And the granddaddy of all!

Making a Windows Millennium souffle out of your Windows 98

° Take your Windows 98 and add 100$

° Mix it round a bit, add 1 pound system restore, a quarter cup UPnP, Pour box in that came with instructions (includes Compressed Folders, Automatic Updates, etc..)

°Bake for 30-60 minutes @ 100 F˚.

°Serve immediately before souffle folds!

Actually the MS managers who were in charge of development should have asked other questions.
Vista (Longhorn) was supposed to include a revolutionary New File System, and that was a terrific reason to launch a new OS. When the new file system got dropped, there was no real reason for a new OS release, just the need to get revenue boosted again by selling the same "new version" stuff again.
Backwards compatibility makes Vista vulnerable to 80% of the current malware, yet the new "features" of Vista breaks many of the applications written for those older OSes, so there is no payoff for compatibility there.
