Samsung DVD Writer shows Blank CD

I yesterday bought a Samsung DVD writer
TST corp CD/DVD SH-S182D

When try to use a DVD it shows the "Blank"
If i use the same DVD in my PowerBook G4 it works absolutely fine....



I tried writing a DVD mp3 with the same writer it worled fine it detects the content but when i tried to use the DVD in my Car DVD player it didnt worked i tried on both JVC and Pioneer car DVD player.

Help me out guys.

there are lots of dvd types, +,- etc. try using the different types and see which one really works with your dvd writte. the one which gives the best result, that is can be burnt,read and read by other players will the one your dvd writter is "supposed" to use.
