Hey Will,
If you find the topic entitled "post editing - PLEASE READ" in the Announcements forum, it explains all.

Is it possible to get rid of the [this message was edited...] message when you edit your post cause if we only have 1 hour to edit and it has to be the last post in the topic to edit I don't really see the point in them and it just makes the posts longer which means more scrolling, or would it just take to much time to do?

Nope, can't get rid of it. It's there to stay.

awww.... can HTML be enabled so it can be hiden then, you know by putting an unclosed <font> tag with settings to make the text invisible or is there a hidden purpose to them that I don't know?

Don't know if there's a hidden purpose, I figure it's just to let folks know I was a dummy and misspelled from (form) and go on about my business...

HTML cannot be used, only UBB.

HTML will not be enabled. Sorry, but it creates far too many problems, and with the UBB code you should be able to do anything you need to, pretty much on a forum.

The "edited by" text is a leftover from the original UBB code, and was intended to show when someone edited text so that others would know it had changed. It now serves to show if someone has modified their own posting, or if I or a moderator have done so. It could be removed, but since I don't think it really harms anyone, I don't think the effort is justified.

I am willing to be overruled if a majority of people think it's important...

DOn't have an answer, but just drop aline in the post, I'll delete it soon as I see it...I usually do delete duplicates anyway, figuring it was a "Cannot find server" or something of that nature...
