Howdy.

Very old versions of XP without SP1a or SP2 have the 127/137GB drive/partition limit due to the 32-bit LBA, correct?

Any version of XP with SP2 installed should have the 48-bit LBA update, allowing drives/partitions up to 16TB, correct?

Thanks.

Mind if I answer both questions with a yes? (http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=6bd0781e73d5d010VgnVCM100000dd 04090aRCRD&locale=en-US)

Edit:
The only confirmation I can find about 16TB is the 64 bit version of XP

OK, cool, thanks very much for the confirmation, and for the link - reading it now...

The various WinXP requirements (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/SupportCD/XPRequirements.html)
As long as the BIOS also supports 48bit LBA, then:-

XP can go up to 2TB on basic volumes.

Pro and x64 can go up to 256TB on dynamic volumes and x64 up to 18 EB on a GPT Volume.
