Hi all! I have a question for you all. I cant run battlefield 2 on my ati x800 xl so I am going to replace it for another video card but low and behold practically ever video card at frys/best buy/cc specifies a minimum 350 watt power supply and my sony(boo!) computer only has a 300 watt power suppy. Can I successfully run a 350 watt rated card in my computer without massive detrimental effects or is it best trying to find an older (antiquated) card that matches the power specifications? thanks for all your help
Umm...what are the specs for the game?
It may be that you need a whole new machine to run it, because if the x800 can't handle it, then a 'beefier' card is definitely in the works...along with a better power supply and probably more RAM...so before we get too far down that road...what exactly are the full specs of your current system (yeah, it's a Sony..but what make/model...details)?
Your system will probably experience problems if you install a video card that requires a 350 watt PS.
