Choosing a CPU!

I am going to be building a compute soon. I am debating weither to go with an AMD duel core or an Intel. THanks for any help.

I am going to embark on building my own computer soon and need help with choosing either AMD or Intel. Here are my uses for this computer:

1) Routine school work (word processing, graphs, etc.)
2) Hold music
3) Gaming
4) Perhaps serve as a data server

I appreciate any help that can be given. I submitted a previous thread concerning this but I don't feel I was specific enough. Thanks!:cool:

If you are planning on doing gaming, then don't go Intel celery, a waste of time. go Athlon.
