I've tried over and over again to figure out how to burn DVD's using Nero but I just can't seem to get it right. What I want to do is put some videos from my PC (in the form of .AVI) on to a blank DVD so that I can watch them on DVD Player & TV.

I purchased the latest version of Nero Ultra Edition (Nero 7 I believe) but it doesn't tell you how to burn DVD's. Surely it can't be as complicated as I think it is but maybe it is. Either way, I have no idea how to burn videos to DVD using Nero.

And yes I have a DVD-RW which I purchased & installed about 2 weeks ago which is working fine so that shouldn't be the problem.

I'd appreciate as much help as I can get on this, thank you.

I haven't used Nero 7, but Nero 6 Ultra includes Nero Vision Express, which is the part of Nero where you can recode movies and burn them to DVD.

Assuming Nero 7 Ultra also includes this program, just start Vision Express and choose the Make DVD option. Very easy to follow steps to add your movie files to the project and Nero will automatically convert them to DVD while burning.

malcore is right on the button. In Nero 7 there is the option under DVD>Photo and Video to make your own Video. Very easy wizard, step by step, to either transcode or recode, whatever Nero tells you you need to do to burn your video file to disk. Really no fail.
Nero doesn't include a user manual due to the size of the program as it is, a manual is available on the Nero site to download, plus there are loads of tips and I believe a forum too. Best of luck!
