Hi everyone, I'm planning to buy a evga 8800gts graphic card. And there is one factory overclocked, and one not. They cost pretty much the same, maybe the not oc'd 20$ less. Is there a catch somewhere. So which one is better to buy, because I'm not sure about the safety of oc'd products, and I'm also afraid that the oc'd one will have a higher temperature when working. Can someone direct me a little on this??????? thanks

How much is the over clocked one over clocked? Usually for only $20 more it's worth getting the over clocked one.

If it is factory over clocked don't worry about it. The warranty still applies and they have tested it to go the higher clock speeds at the factory so you don't have to worry about it. :)

I usually go for the factory over clocked cards myself. They perform better. How much better depends on how much they are over clocked.

EDIT - Another thing to consider is the warranty. Many manufacturers have a lifetime warranty these days, but not all. It's often worth looking at the particular coverage for each manufacturer.
