If I wanted 8 wireless (pc`s) devices connected to the internet would a Wireless-G Cable Gateway (http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1138056788757&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper) support this ?
Also would a 4 port wireless router support more devices ?

The built-in Wireless-G Access Point allows up to 32 wireless devices to connect to your network
it supports 32.
Also would a 4 port wireless router support more devices ?
This has 4 wired ports as well as wireless.
The device is a cable modem itself, you may be able to find wireless routers that use the existing cable modem and plug that into the router for easier setup, since the cable modem is already configured and running.

Most wireless routers support at least 32 clients (either wireless or network port).
However usually there are only 4 or 8 network ports, so if you need to connect more than 4 or 8 computers with a network cable, you will need a hub (or better a switch) to enlarge the number of network ports.
If all the devices will be connected with wireless - you will be just fine with any decent wireless router (with or without integrated modem).
