In an office we were using MS Access XP for a simple patient info database. Used the Web Pages interface to make it look good. Then someone installed IE7 and now the pages won't work. How can I either go back to IE6 or fix it so that the Access pages can be viewed using the web pages interface? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Out of interest in what way do the pages not work. If I try to open data access pages directly in IE7 it crashes (simply shuts down) unless I deny it the option to allow active content (there is certainly some javascript and other stuff on the pages). Opening the pages in IE6 emulation using the MS User Agent String utility makes no difference. Perhaps you have a different problem - however the tie up between MS Access and IE7 looks like a bad marriage. It is particularly bad in Vista if you have multiple versions of Access and I like to run Access 97 because I don't want to have to update the modules in a number of my apps to make them compatible with later versions.

Lots of probs reported on the newsgroups so, so much for backward compatibility once again. I would go back to IE6 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/iefaq.mspx) unless you upgrade to Vista and are forced to use its IE7 for MS apps.
