Would it be really difficult to have a "Yesterday's Topics" page for those of us too lazy to write down the subject lines or save links to, and too feebleminded to remember, of those posts we are interested in following? I got tired of cleaning out my Hotmail box (and also don't like linking out of Hotmail), but often cannot find the posts I am hoping to follow to resolution again. They were there on Today's yesterday, but by the time I check the next morning...they're gone.

This is one of the best forum formats that I have experienced -- but there is always room for improvement -- there have been a number of discussions on the topic.

You must be using "Click Here To View Today's Active Topics" -- and you have discovered up a new and exciting way to use the forums that the designers never thought of.

If set your preferences to "show topics from last 2 days" then you can go through all the forums individually. I think that there are too many forums, and I suspect you don't want to go through all the forums to see posts from the last 2 days.

What I often do is use the search facility and search for my username for the last 10 days. That way, I can find if anyone has responded to any of my posts.

I do often go searching through each part of the forum, but that's not always successful..sometimes I not only don't find the one I am trying to find, but I have picked up a few more I would like to see the resolution on in the process! My husband and I are trying to learn puter stuff, and we find that we tend to learn more by troubleshooting and resolution of a specific problems than, say, reading excellent but dry text in books. Not even counting the large number of links I have collected from posts here for useful places on the Net.

Please don't misunderstand...we love this forum. I just need to get more diligent on saving links to specific posts.

I asked a related question a while back, about turning 'yesterday' into
'the last 24 hours' -- or maybe even 36.

Know you're busy, Charles. Just a gentle reminder. How's new addition? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yes! Would add my "please" to the 36 hour idea if it is not too difficult.
