Hi.

A friend of mine has a PC with literally hundreds of CD's ripped into Sony SonicStage application.

Is there an application which can convert SonicStage files into MP3's?

Can you say 'DRM'?

There is not only many companies making downloaded music un-shareable, there is a million people allowing the DRM to be encoded onto the cd's they rip at home. That is because the DRM is enabled by default. Then these same idiots go to share sites and allow others to download the encoded files! What a waste of time and effort.

I can say DRM!
:p

I unserstand the concept, actually, however, when someone has ripped pretty much their entire CD collection to ATRAC files, the concept of having to re-rip to MP3 does not appeal to him!!!
:D

ADDITIONAL: I have found a converter.

Administrators: Can I post the link?
I am unsure of the position that PC GUIDE takes to this particular issue(as file conversion is not illegal, however, circumventing the DRM on a file probably is copyright), so I won't post the link, unless an administrator specifically says I can do so...
