Won't power up

I have a Dell Dimension 2350, Pentium 4 2.2 Ghz.

I have put a new power supply in it and a new battery.

When I turn it on, it will start to boot, never get a screen on the monitor, then shut down. Wait 3 seconds, and do it again.

Does anyone have suggested fixes?

Did you get the power supply from Dell?
They had this nasty habit of using proprietary wiring on the PSUs so you had to buy the parts from them.

No.

But after some poking around, reseating the memory fixed the problem. Go figure!
