I only see a few leftovers, but, as you probably know, HJT only picks up some of the problems these days... Another tool would be a good idea... Before that....

Open a HJT scan and put checks by:

It looks like the AVG install was not completed, I would try running it again...

Then the scan:

1. Download this file - combofix.exe (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall...

I've done exalted your name all over Arc-R. As well as being a benefactor, I've told them you are our security expert and heaven knows what it would have cost us to have someone as talented as you look at our Execs computer. Thank you so much! I'm bout to lose my mind with this computer. Tell you the truth I really thought I'd done the hijack log wrong; I was in the office at the time I posted it with 4 people around. I was really expecting you to tell me "LG you know better, post it the right way". So glad I did it right.
Don't understand the AVG install. Did it here at the house and was working fine, our Exec said something about all of a sudden AVG would try to update and would do some weird stuff. Wasn't doing it here, how can things change like that??
Is there a way to stop anyone from putting anything on this computer without a password? See I'm into a new world here, this is a business computer, I'm a home computer tech, I know nothing about shared computers or files or printers but I do need to be able to stop someone from putting anything on this computer without a password which is what I think is going on. I'm cleaning off things that I've already cleaned. I think someone has made a backup, not understanding that they backed up the problems, and then the computer wacks out again and its call LG!
There has to be a way I can stop that. I've put in I don't know how many hours on this, I've gone and got it three times now, I've been to the office three times now. I'm still working on Syl's suggestions; now that I have it here I can run Knoppix and find the drivers he needs to know about.
It is a shared computer, the assistant has access and I think this may be the person that not knowing is causing the problem. How do I restrict her account to not being able to load any programs or disks? She is very proud of herself for defragging the computer and I've told her that is a very good thing to do but it does not solve problems just puts all the ducks in a row and she has backed up all the files and that's a good thing too but not if you back up the problem, she doesn't seem to get that part.
Yeah I'm havin a rant here, but I've worked so hard on this and it just won't behave.

You can set up the Admin account to require a password that only you maintain and then set up user accounts with only restricted access... You will need to be there to log in to make any significant changes, but it will keep others from doing any changes to the system... You will want to require passwords for the user accounts as well... You can play with it on your home machine to figure out how to do it... The main thing is you will probably need to set some things up to be shared and that is a little trickier...
