Dear Geeks,

RE: OS: Windows XP Pro
Spacing Between Text In Document-WordPad

I hope that the following problem can be cleared up with expert advice.

All along the spacing in Document-WordPad was set automatically to single spacing between text, just like the text in this message. After transferring a piece of information from clipboard to Document-WordPad, the spacing between text was set automatically to twice. I tried Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2 and finally Ctrl+Enter. It worked for Ctrl+Enter. Sad to say, the problem returned and tapping Ctrl+Enter could not revert to single spacing between text.

Thanks and bye.

Word and WordPad will both allow one to toggle between single and double spacing for any highlighted text by using CTRL+1 and CTRL+2

I think CTRL+ENTER doesn't do anything different from ENTER on its own.

To revert to single spacing - highlight the text and use CTRL+1

Dont confuse double spacing with pressing ENTER TWICE at the end of a paragraph to make paragraphs distinct from one another.
