I just bought a new AMDx2 4200 Dual-core processor, and a few other things. One of them was an ECS motherboard. (I know, I know... It was just meant to hold me over until I get an Asus.)

I hooked everything up, just like with every other computer I've built, but the thing won't boot up. Switch is correct, LEDs are hooked up, HD, RAM, everything. It did turn on ONCE, for about 3 seconds... When I nudged my ATX connector. It is fully seated, and the PSU is brand-new. I tested it in my other PC and it works fine. I'm guessing the connector on the board is FUBAR. Anyone have any input? It only boots momentarily if I nudge the ATX clip... And I'm not doing that again!

Any input, even guesses as to what the problem may be (besides the letters ECS) would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you bought it brand new from a store, the easiest thing to do would be to return it and get a replacement one, being, you know, ECS.

I bought it new online, but now the vendor is refusing to co-operate. $15.00 refund (yeah, right!) or a replacement. So... Either I get ripped off, or spend another $50.00 on shipping and customs that they refuse to cover, just to get another crappy board for twice the money.

Who's the vendor? I'm not sure if I'm understanding the situation... Have you contacted ECS directly and you're looking at having to pay shipping and customs to RMA directly through them?
