I recently bought components for a new computer I am building. Upon recieving and putting all my parts together I recieved no video output. So i stripped my machine down to nothing but CPU and Video Card to see if I could at least get the BIOS screen. My CPU fan and Video crad fan spins but still nothing so a friend of mine brought over his working video card to check and still no video. I noticed that my MB had problems with soder joints touching the bottom of the case so I figured my MB was bad so I RMA'd it for another. I just recieved my new one today and installed it making sure all the soder joints werent touching anything. I hooked up my video card and CPU and still no video. I noticed my CPU had one bent pin on it so I took sime tweezers and bent it back perfectly. Still no video. I am fixing to send my CPU back for a replacement and wanted some input before I Do. Please Help.

Ok. You didn't mention this so I assume you didn't do it.
1. You have to have memory installed in order to boot your computer.
2. What type of motherboard? With a lot of mobo's (like asus), it is common where when installing for the first time you might have to ONLY have one stick of RAM installed, and it must be installed in the 3rd slot.
3. Why is it touching the bottom of the case? You did use spacers when installed the mobo right?
4. Could you list your main parts so I know your hardware?

I do have one stick of memory installed and in the 3rd slot. My mobo is a Biostar NF4U AM2G, witha AMD 64 X2 4200+. The problem woth the motherboard is that the soder joints on the bottom the board hang down a littl lower than most boards and it has a tendency to touch the case even with risers installed, but Ive taken care of that.

Stand-offs raise the board up nearly 3/8", what in the world would be hanging down that far?
Also, it is always best to try the board outside of the case on a non-conductive surrace (cardboard on a table works).

Yeah I'll have to say I didnt make the best decision on the board but money was a big factor here. And after receiving me new mobo I did try it outside of the case and still nothing. So it has to be processor unless both sticks of my RAM are bad, which I kinda doubt.
