My laptop screen is only 15". I wanted to connect it to a regular tv set. I don't have an S-Video port.

However, I saw a port similar to that of a desktop video card. I am assuming this is where you plug a projector.

my question, is there a cable that I can use so I can have the output to a regular tv set? so far, I only see S-Video cables.

RIO- I connected my laptop to multiple TV's in my Bar when I set up a Karaoke system that run off my computer... I went and bought a pc to tv converter at Radio Shack..
This is what I bought and it works great!
Ultimate XP Pro PC-to-TV Converter
$99.99
Model: GXP-2000
Catalog #: 25-3085
I had to buy this so that it would do dual monitor. I dont know if you would need something this elabrate but it worked great for me.

A typical TV won't have a high enough resolution to use as a computer display for much. You would be better off using a computer monitor and connecting it to the VGA output that almost every laptop has.
