Not that this has anything to do with computers, but what's the deal with people's grammar? Sometimes I can't even figure out what a problem is because the post is unintelligible. Come on people...don't be so lazy.

For some people English might not be their first language.

This particular topic comes up every now and then; last time it went around there was a marked improvement, of not only grammar but spelling and punctuation as well, but only for a while. Proper langauge skills are something that need to be practiced, not only in school but everyday.

Yes, kaos, it is true that many of the hard to read posts are from those for whom English is not a first language, it is those that should know better but don't take the time to proof-read before hitting the submit button (I know...I do it too) that are the real annoyances, at least for me.

I trust the Forum will not object to the British way of spelling American English. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

if given at least 10 minutes to edit my posts I generally get rid of most errors. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

I usually need to edit even one line replies.

lmao sea, I always have to do that too. I think that you take what you can, some people might be in a hurry, if you can't understand some of the words, too bad, at least they took the time to reply. It's better than if they didn't take the time to reply at all.

sea69, I can't get to mjc's link from your site. All I get is the free hosting site. Just wanted you to know. Like I've told you before, Great site you have btw.

Can one become a genius? As I get older, I notice my spelling ability is declining..and I would love to think I am becoming a genius! Words like "per-if-e-al" (peripheral) are getting beyond me. Got to take in regional accents too. Was raised in Texas and took me a long time to realize that "wash" doesn't actually have the "r" we put in it in my family. We "warsh" things! TJay posted a link to a good spell checker once, but sadly, only works online if you have a Works or Word (can't remember) program I don't have.
