View Full Version : Need recommendation for online credit-card processor
Hey, you know how you are always getting spammed by companies offering to let you process credit cards online? I actually need to find one of these. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif Of course I don't want to use a spammer. I want a solid, reliable company that will process Disk Edition transactions and deposit the money into an account for me. For the last four years I have been doing this all manually, typing the numbers into a program on my PC and dialing each one up to a central computer somewhere. For wasting hours every week doing this I pay huge fees and I grow weary of it.
My first instinct was Paypal, but aside from their customer service woes, they require people to sign up for their service, and that's not acceptable. Also, the place must handle international cards... I get orders from everywhere.
It's surprisingly hard to find recommendations for this sort of stuff. Ideas? Thanks!

Hmmm...I get those spam emails all the time. Since I pay no attention to them whatsoever I have no idea which ones are spamming people...Usually you have to go to their website from the email also, and I never get that far. Anyway, google came upwith plenty... Verisign (http://www.verisign.com) and [http://www.paymentonline.com]Payment Online[/url] were the top of the list.
CCPS (http://www.mcvisa.com/)
CCNow (http://www.ccnow.com/)
iTransact (http://www.itransact.com/)
CyberCash (http://www.cybercash.com/) recently acquired by VeriSign.
Now I wish I had paid more attention to which ones were spamming me...

Charles,
Have you looked into the options offerd by pair.com, I remember seeing something on their site (http://www.pair.com/pair/ecommerce/) about some e-commerce options?
And of course you could add t-shrts, caps, and stuff to the orders that can be processed, too (hint, hint http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif )

You may want to check out wwwPaymentonline.com before you jump that direction.
I had a great deal of trouble with their service.

It is a good idea to read the date of the last post before you respond... This thread is almost 6 years old and I suspect the issue is long resolved...

It really sounds like that you are growing weary of it. Since you already asked for it you can try to visit this site that my friend uses.

Umm...the same 'warning' applies as it did nearly two years ago.
Sheesh, talk about necroposting!

Remember "Lending Tree?" Banks compete for your business. Go to vendorseek.com and choose the appropriate category. This is where vendors of all services compete for your business. Be careful as the vendors will contact you aggressively. So, don't choose 30 categories of interest or you will be on the phone for the next week and a half.

These late posts are for people who find this page through a search engine. I have found many old posts that answer my current questions. I believe that is how I found this site.
