What do you guys think is smarter and more advanced, a modern computer or a cat for example ?

A computer is capable of incredibly quick processing but the cat has better learning capabilities.

haha good one jiggy i dont think a computer is smart as a cat a pc does only whats is told or it breaks lol but oyur dont see your pc scratching your sofa now do you

I don't think we are in a position to judge such a comparison. After all, humans didn't invent cats. We merely domesticated them. Also, I can build and upgrade computers. I can't do that with cats.

In which case cats are probably smarter since they run away from screwdrivers. Computers just sit there and let me dismantle them. Hmmm...

Computers are not smart, they do simple mathmatics very quickly. Intelligence is an illusion because of programming. Programmers are the intelligence behind a computer. A cats brain is a learning relational computer with input from at least five senses. I think a computers "smartness" would be more compareable to an Ant colony taken as a whole.

You throw a ball for a cat or a pc and they both just sit their looking at you, "You think im fetching that", and we go and fetch the ball.

How did we very domesticated cats....

Computers are very dumb. I can write a program that loops garbage infinitely, and the computer will just keep doing it forever until it breaks. Cats have to sleep 18 hours a day.

But neither one is the smartest thing you ever done either... :p

Did anyone else notice? Them people in Kentucky use computer trapshooting as an excuse to destroy books. Look between the top of cannon and computer.
I guess this is the high tech version of book burning?? :D
