I am always on the lookout for new software utilities, especially freeware and shareware. Since I respect the collective intellect and integrity of this community, I would love to see a section that contained reviews, recommendations, warnings, etc. based upon our experiences.
Always dreaming,

My favorite place for this is download.com. I got an office suite there for free which I now use instead of MS office 2000. It's small (18mb) and surprisingly capable. Not as many bells and whistles, but whoneeds them anyway? Its called PCS 2001 and I give it two thumbs up.

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him to use the net, and he wont bother you for weeks.
Drop by the PcGuide chatroom and we can get some lively discussions about it...(link is on the front page of the Guide)...but I'll throw in a couple of two thumbs up...AdAware and ZA...but yeah...it may be a good idea, not really something for in After Hours, and doesn't really fit in Software Troubleshooting either.

I appreciate the feedback. I swear by both ZoneAlarm and AdAware and can't wait to try out PCS 2000. Despite being a PC Addict (so says my wife) I have never gave chatrooms a try http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/redface.gif ! I guess there will be some new worlds to explore there.
Thanks,
ER
