Because by its very nature this site deals with PC problems, there is too little said about products that work properly “right out of the box”.
I would like to see more information regarding good products and vendors. I do not wish this to become a “ mine is bigger than yours” thing, but rather a place to tell us how pleased you are with a buying experience. I know that there are plenty of review sites, but there is some bias apparent in all of them. They also seldom review less well-known products / brands.

Case in point:

After a great deal of comparison-shopping, I purchased a Lite-On 24x10x40 CDRW from Newegg.com for about $100. Newegg sent confirmations and tracking numbers automatically and the shipping cost was low. The product came THREE DAYS LATER, with Nero software (full version, not some demo or something). Win98se recognized it immediately, and I was burning in a few minutes. I could not believe my wisdom in purchasing this product! To date I (with little experience) have burned about 20 CDs without scrapping one.

Please inform others of your excellent purchase.
(without bragging about yer whole damn setup)

Excellent suggestion Fixrupr.
I would love to see a review area by the brilliant people here.

Here is my buying review:
Although they sell a lot of refurb goods, I have had great experiences with ComputerGeeks.com. One time they had a little delay but madeup for it with genuine courtesy and waving the delivery charge.
Also, everything I have gotten from them has worked flawlessly.

Hey,

I'll second that on the computergeeks.com. Have also been treated fairly, gotten good dependable products and no hassle returns from:
www.computersurplusoutlet.com (http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com)
www.accessmicro.com (http://www.accessmicro.com)
www.memory4less.com (http://www.memory4less.com)

Cheers,

I second the motion on the Lite-on CDRWs I got the 16x10x40...and I have the same experience....no problems.

And I also agree CSO, ComputerGeeks and NewEgg are all pretty good and reliable vendors.
