If you're looking for an alternative browser, try K-Meleon...very fast, works with every plugin I've tried, less obtrusive than IE or Netscape, much more "window" for your screen...

I have mine set up for Russian menus now...very nice...I'm sure you can do the same with IE, but this was easy...
