My mom wants the Windows XP Professional Operating System to be in Korean, because it would be must easier for her to navigate. She basically wants it so that the whole thing is in Korean (no english).. as if this computer was built in Korea.
I went to Control Panel, Region and Language Options, Languages, and Installed the "East Asian Languages" so I could select Korean. But I think that only allowed me to type in Korean.
Can anyone help? I've been on this issue for about 5 days now and I cant seem to get any help from friends or customer service....

Welcome to The PC Guide Forums!
You would need to buy the Multilingual version of Win XP Pro (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116062) or find a Korean version.

For surfing? Not sure what else, have you gone to Internet Explorer> View> Encoding> More> select Korean then download and install the Language Pack?
There's also some options in Word that may help.

no this is so EVERYTHING'S in Korean.. I already know about seeing webpages in Korean (that is, if you're on a site that has korean on it). I went everything from the "Start" button to Menus being in all Korean.
My roommate said that I dont have to by the Multilingual Windows XP. He said that his uncle did it for him and his sister and made everything korean without having to install and buy a new Windows XP.

Does anyone know how to once again get the sun to revolve around the earth?
What part of 'ain't gonna happen' is alluding you?
I'm not mocking you here, we're talking about Microsoft! They would be ecstatic if you had a household with 7 native languages so they could sell you 7 different disks and thought they could get away with it! I was once advised by a lawyer I needed about the courts and all involved. He said, "Don't be amazed by how apathetic anyone in our judicial system is." I think this applies to MS as well. They have you where they want you.
Back on track, to do it, it will need to be a version that is able to. Apparently there is no add-ins, add-ons or tweaks that can do it to the degree you are asking. I searched, I'm sure others here have looked around. Sorry but we came up short of your intended goal. :(

somewhat interesting how everytime I go on a forum I see some person trying to seek answers to questions that they honestly dont know, or try to seek advice/help, and they get scolded, belittled, or shown how stupid they are on that topic...
Anyway, all you had to say was the last paragraph of ur reply. that wouldve been suffice...
