Ok, so I broke the LCD screen of my previous laptop. It's had a good run and lasted quite a while, but the issue becomes that I need a new one cheap. When I say cheap, I mean it- I'm looking for something less than $200 that I can just throw linux on and use for typing notes and not much else. It'd be nice if it's durable, but I'll take what I can get. I can't seem to find any at the more conventional sites I use for pc hardware, and I don't know what other sites are trustworthy. I could really use some help.

That's easy,

eBay!

You're not going to get much with your top dollar figure though. Bid low on some, maybe you'll get lucky.

You could also look for a replacement screen for the broken laptop on eBay. For $200 you can't get much. Be careful of auctions that are for laptops with no RAM, HD, or other important parts when looking for ultra cheap.

Another source I have heard is good is Retro Box. I have never done business with them, and they seem to have merged with another company now. http://www.intechraoutlet.com/rbwww/home/
