This suggestion is prompted by the quantity of posts that are submitted by those first timers that cannot wait to make us aware of their lack of knowledge regarding “the rules.”

Perhaps 24 hours would allow them time to get the hang of how the forum operates.

I don’t think waiting a day would impede those that are seeking help, but it might slow down posters that are typing so rapidly that they misspell their own name.

A lockout from all but posting a new topic for 30 days would be even better.

Other scenarios based on temporary password come to mind, but maybe I’m a dreamer.

I’ve never hidden the fact that a lot of the discussions here are over my head, so I don’t know how complex any changes along these lines might be.

The problem is worse than annoying, and in the end, could be destructive.

Dont think IXL will do anything about this fixrupr. But its a good suggestion. And guess what i have been guilty of trying to get my posts up to a high #, when i was about in the 500s . Then i saw petes # and there was no way i could catch him http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif So i learn to be just another tech guy.

Sorry But the Idea of making people wait 24 hours to post is a bad Idea.
In any way shape or form

If they are limited to posting only new topics
Then how are they (1st time user) going to reply to your request for new or additional information in an attempt to help solve their Pc Problem.
