Hello people,

While shutting down my laptop last thursday, it says that it is applying updates.

When I started it back, this error popped up.

The system dll user32.dll was relocated in memory

anyone had encountered this? I tried searching msdn but their site is a maze.

I don't remember installing any softwares, but I have automatic updates on.

perfect. Thanks.

This problem may occur after you install security update 925902

this was installed 4/7/07

you sure know how to navigate to their site. I tried their search but it trapped me in circles.

BTW, do you know what this two files are for? I taught I caught something bad when this message popped up

The file that caused the problem is an ActiveX file

Rio
My Mother's comp gave the same error two days ago and was fixed with the patch Jiggy has linked to.

OK, I must be losing it. I did not even see Rio's response in post #3. Is this the first sign of getting old?
