Hehe... It just occured to me that I left without telling anyone where I was going :D! I have been going into forum withdrawal for the last couple days.
Last week (Wednesday evening) I left on my trip to Europe with my school, and right now I'm sitting in an Internet Cafe in downtown Paris. I having a blast.
Anyways, the purpose of the trip was to visit the reopening of the Vimy Ridge monument in Normandy, where Canadian soldiers were thousands of Canadian solders were killed in the Battle of Vimy Ridge during World War I. It was the first battle were all the Canadian regiments fought together. The ceremony was extraordinary - I have not seen such patriotism ever before. We were able to visit the Canadian Front Line trenches, and the German trenches, and see just what the Canadian soldiers went through in 1918. We were also able to visit the tunnels that extended beneath the battle zone.
The monument is magnificent. For those who are interested, there is more information here:

So far we have visited London (2 nights), then we took the Eurostar through the Chunnel (where I left my passport on the train :o) then we stayed in Caen for two nights, and now were are in Paris for two more nights.
I will be home on Thursday afternoon. Talk to you all when I spend 10 hours reading and replying to all the posts I missed! :)
PS- if anyone has any suggestions on what to do/see in Paris, I'd appreciate some ideas (besides the major things like Notre Dame, Le Louvre, Eiffel tower, etc).
