Howdy.

One of my XP Home machines has started displaying this message, when the machine boots up - it appears as soon as the desktop has finished loading:

The system DLL user 32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly . The relocation occurred because the DLL:\Windows\systems32\HHCTRL.OCX occupiedan address range reserved for WindowsSystems dlls. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

Not sure what this is all about.

32.dll could be anything!
HHCTRL.OCX would appear to be a script file, but what it is actually doing, is difficult to know.

I have tried rolling the system back to Feb, and then further to Jan and then Dec '06, but on every re-boot the same message comes up.

Anyone else had this message, and what's it all about?

Thanks.

Certain third-party applications may not start, and you receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448).

A bit of background. Perhaps you use autoupdate.
