I don't believe there would be a problem with that as long as your not trying to pull band width or useing bots,I would imagine you could use the

http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif as the link pic. but this would have to be up to IXL and PETE.

I don't think a PC Guide link on your page would be a problem, I've had one on my page for a long time. Ixl, of course, would have the final say, but I'm fairly sure he wouldn't mind at all.

He would also be the one to consult about a banner or specific picture for a link, but the one Yoda posted seems like a good one to me...
